The practitioner aims to assist the client to establish a psychosomatic (physical and emotional) felt sense of presence – embodiment in their mutual relational field. This body / mindfulness creates the possibility for deep rest and gradual healing, to begin to resolve restricting patterns of physical and emotional pain.
During treatments the client remains clothed, and may be seated or lying on a table. Practitioners may also at times work with babies while the mother is holding or breast-feeding them. A series of sessions is often helpful to allow change and healing to take place.
