Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
Amanda Meadahl has been practicing massage therapy since 2005. She specializes in therapeutic massage including deep tissue, sport massage, myofascial fire cupping, PNF stretching, injury prevention and rehabilitation. She excels in finding and relieving those painful areas within muscle tissue and helping them relax. Amanda has developed a blend of effective techniques making her massage unique to each client and their specific need for massage. During treatment she aims to work effectively with the client to bring about pain relief, increase range of motion, and decrease tension, to achieve optimum performance to provide injury free training and minimize pre and post event injuries.
Amanda also excels in the art of relaxation massage, offering a moderate amount of pressure throughout the treatment allowing for stress reduction without the pain. She has an acute understanding of neck and upper back pain and tension, working through her own pain over the years she has perfected cervical treatments providing clients with relief from Chronic torticollis, TMJ, Whiplash, headaches, migraines and nagging upper back tension.
Amanda enjoys her winter’s working, skiing, and snowboarding at CMH Heli Adventures at a remote ski lodge. When she is not being Heli lifted to the top of a mountain you can find her shredding the slopes of Kicking Horse, Revelstoke and sometimes even cross-country skiing in Kananaskis and surrounding areas, but riding the champagne powder is her passion. Her hobbies include, Aerial yoga/silks, dance, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, and enjoying a good spa day to recover from all the fun.
Amanda’s treatment days at Back & Body Health are alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays afternoon/evenings.
